Burgundy Brick Design: A Dual-Texture Hybrid in Sheepskin

A handmade rug is often defined by its material integrity and the precision of its assembly, and the Burgundy Brick Design represents the peak of this artisanal approach. At Regal Rugs, we have engineered this model as a technical hybrid, combining our plush Muton quality with the refined, dense texture of our Burgundy line. By arranging these two distinct pelt types in a staggered, brick-like pattern, we create a surface that offers both visual depth and a varied tactile experience across the entire floor plan.

The construction of the Brick Design is a deliberate study in material contrast. The staggered layout allows the different pile heights of the Muton and Burgundy sections to interact dynamically with light. This ensures that even in a monochromatic ivory or white scheme, the pattern remains distinct and architectural. Furthermore, we do not rely on printed designs or artificial textures; the pattern is built entirely through the physical hand-assembly of high-grade natural sheepskins.

Bespoke Engineering for High-End Projects

Because every architectural environment requires a specific structural balance, we provide the Burgundy Brick Design as a fully customizable handmade rug. The modular nature of the brick units allows our artisans to scale the pattern to any dimension, from small accent pieces to expansive corporate lounge areas. Furthermore, we offer extensive color and material options for our professional B2B partners:

  • Standard Color Palette: You can select from our curated range of ready-to-order tones, including natural ivories, greys, and warm earth tones.

  • Custom Bespoke Colors: We provide professional custom-dyeing services for projects that require a precise match to a specific interior palette.

  • Material Ratios: Designers can choose to emphasize either the Muton or Burgundy sections to achieve a specific level of softness or sheen in their project.

We manage the entire production process within our own specialized facility. This allows us to maintain strict quality control over every seam and joint, ensuring that each handmade rug maintains its structural alignment regardless of its final size or shape.

Global Quality Standards at Regal Rugs

At Regal Rugs, our commitment to providing the finest handmade rug solutions starts with our rigorous raw material sourcing. We select only high-grade sheepskin pelts that meet our standards for density and natural luster. This selection process is vital for the longevity of the rug, as it ensures the fibers remain resilient under regular use.

Furthermore, our tanning and finishing processes adhere to international environmental and quality protocols. For professionals seeking more information on the global standards of ethical and premium pelt processing, the International Fur Federation provides comprehensive industry guidelines. We invite architects and interior designers to contact us for technical samples or a bespoke quote for the Burgundy Brick series.

Care & Cleaning

Sheepskin Rugs Care & Cleaning Instructions

UNBOXING
• Use caution when opening the package—do not cut too deeply with sharp tools.
• Creases or folds from shipping are normal. Unfold and lay the rug flat; it will relax over time.

PLACEMENT
• Avoid placing sheepskin rugs in direct sunlight. Natural wool and leather may discolor when exposed to prolonged sunlight.
• Furniture legs (e.g., chairs, coffee tables) can leave dents in the pile. Restore by gently smoothing with your hand or lightly combing the area. Avoid excessive rubbing.
• Keep rugs away from strong artificial light sources (such as spotlights), as they can cause discoloration over time.

CLEANING
• For regular care, sweep, brush, or vacuum with strong suction (without a beater bar). Beater brush vacuums may damage the fibers.
• Wool and sheepskin are naturally stain-resistant, but if a spill occurs:
Blot immediately with an absorbent cloth or paper towel.
Gently clean any residue with a damp cloth and mild soap (e.g., dish soap) or carpet foam.
Do not use harsh chemicals such as bleach, laundry detergent, or vinegar.
Avoid vigorous scrubbing or rubbing.
• For stubborn stains, contact a professional carpet cleaner or dry cleaner experienced with natural sheepskin.

STORING
• Store rugs rolled (not folded), upright, in a cool and dry place when not in use.
