Burgundy Pebble: Architectural Texture and Hand-Stitched Precision

A premium grade sheepskin rug is defined by the density of its fibers and the complexity of its construction, and the Burgundy Pebble is a standout example of this standard. At Regal Rugs, we manufacture this model through an intensive labor process that involves hand-stitching thousands of individual 3 cm (approximately 1.2 inch) squares. By alternating between our refined Burgundy and plush Muton pelt qualities, we create a high-relief surface that mimics the organic irregularities of a pebble-strewn landscape. This multi-layered texture provides a visual depth that shifts dynamically under different lighting conditions.

The construction of the Burgundy Pebble is a deliberate study in material durability and tactile variety. Because we use countless small segments, we achieve a structural resilience that maintains its volume even in high-traffic commercial environments. Furthermore, the combination of two distinct pelt types—Burgundy and Muton—allows for a variegated tonal effect, even in monochromatic schemes. This ensures that the rug remains a sophisticated focal point without the need for artificial patterns or dyes.

Technical Bespoke Engineering for Designers

Because every architectural project presents unique dimensional and aesthetic challenges, we offer the Burgundy Pebble as a fully customizable premium grade sheepskin rug. The modular nature of the 3 cm repeating units allows our artisans to scale the design to any specific dimensions required by your floor plan. Furthermore, we provide our professional B2B partners with extensive choice in color and form:

  • Standard Color Palette: You can select from our curated range of ready-to-order tones, including deep chocolates, warm ochres, and modern neutrals.

  • Custom Bespoke Colors: We offer professional custom-dyeing services for projects that require a precise match to a specific interior palette or branding.

  • Flexible Shapes: Beyond standard rectangles, we can produce the Pebble texture in organic, circular, or irregular silhouettes to fit bespoke furniture layouts.

We manage the entire production process within our own specialized facility. This allows us to maintain strict quality control over the alignment and stitching of every small square, ensuring a consistent density and high-end finish across the entire surface.

Care & Cleaning

Sheepskin Rugs Care & Cleaning Instructions

UNBOXING
• Use caution when opening the package—do not cut too deeply with sharp tools.
• Creases or folds from shipping are normal. Unfold and lay the rug flat; it will relax over time.

PLACEMENT
• Avoid placing sheepskin rugs in direct sunlight. Natural wool and leather may discolor when exposed to prolonged sunlight.
• Furniture legs (e.g., chairs, coffee tables) can leave dents in the pile. Restore by gently smoothing with your hand or lightly combing the area. Avoid excessive rubbing.
• Keep rugs away from strong artificial light sources (such as spotlights), as they can cause discoloration over time.

CLEANING
• For regular care, sweep, brush, or vacuum with strong suction (without a beater bar). Beater brush vacuums may damage the fibers.
• Wool and sheepskin are naturally stain-resistant, but if a spill occurs:
Blot immediately with an absorbent cloth or paper towel.
Gently clean any residue with a damp cloth and mild soap (e.g., dish soap) or carpet foam.
Do not use harsh chemicals such as bleach, laundry detergent, or vinegar.
Avoid vigorous scrubbing or rubbing.
• For stubborn stains, contact a professional carpet cleaner or dry cleaner experienced with natural sheepskin.

STORING
• Store rugs rolled (not folded), upright, in a cool and dry place when not in use.
