Zermanta Sheepskin Rug
Zermanta is driven by movement rather than symmetry. The design is formed by horizontal stripes that run cleanly across the rug from edge to edge, following no fixed order. The sequence feels intentional but relaxed, allowing the surface to remain calm and visually fluid.
The pattern alternates between Burgundy-quality sheepskin and muton, with the Burgundy sections offering a noticeably softer and more supple feel. Subtle variations in stripe width add depth without creating visual noise, giving the rug its character through proportion rather than contrast. There is no central motif and no repetition, only a continuous horizontal flow.
Zermanta relies on material and texture instead of decoration. The softer Burgundy stripes introduce a gentle, refined presence, while the muton sections provide structure and balance. From a distance, the rug appears composed and understated; up close, the nuanced surface and tactile differences become more apparent.
This sheepskin rug is well suited to interiors shaped by quiet luxury and thoughtful restraint. The horizontal composition works naturally in contemporary interior design settings, particularly in living spaces with low furniture, linear layouts, and layered neutral tones. It integrates easily without demanding attention.
Each Zermanta piece is produced as part of a bespoke process. Custom size, shape, and color options are available, making it suitable for tailored projects and custom floor rugs designed to fit specific spaces. Only premium-quality furs are used, ensuring consistency, comfort, and longevity.
Zermanta in Burgundy quality is a high end rug created for interiors where texture, proportion, and material integrity define the atmosphere.
Crafted from natural sheep fur, the Burgundy Chamarel lambfur rug offers insulation and hypoallergenic properties, making it a practical and healthy addition to your home. For more inspiration on luxurious rug designs, explore Rug Society’s guide on elevating interiors with elegant rugs here.

UNBOXING
When you first received your rug package, do not go too deep if you use a sharp tool while unpacking the cardboard package.
When you receive your rugs, you can see creases developed during shipping. This is natural for all shearling rugs and will disappear in a short while when you unfold and spread the rug.
PLACEMENT
We highly recommend not using your rugs in areas that take direct sunlight. All shearling and leather rugs may show discoloration in the long term if used in direct sunlight.
The legs of items such as armchairs, coffee tables, etc. placed on the rugs may cause dents on the rugs in the long term. You can smooth these areas by hand-rubbing or gently combing. We recommend avoiding excessively hard rubbing when combing or rubbing.
If the rugs, placed in showrooms, etc. kept too close to powerful light sources like spotlights, etc., they may discolor in the long run. You can avoid this issue by placing the rugs a little away from the light source.
CLEANING
Sweeping or brushing is recommended for cleaning. Strong suction vacuum cleaners can be used, too. However, we never recommend using beater brush vacuum cleaners since they may cause hair loss on your natural fur carpets.
Wool and natural fur carpets are naturally stain-resistant to a certain extent. However, if any stain occurs on your rug, absorb the stain with an absorbent cloth or tissue immediately and clean the remaining stain with a damp cloth by gently rubbing it. We recommend using dish soap or carpet foam for cleaning. Never use strong chemicals such as bleach, laundry detergent, vinegar, etc. Never rub or wipe carpets vigorously. If there is a stain that you cannot remove, simply get help from an expert carpet cleaner or a dry cleaner.
STORING
Rugs should be stored in a rolled and upright position in a cool and dry place when they are not in use.
